Personal GPS tracking systems: pinpoint accuracy, real-time
We offer person location systems with GPS accuracy (to within 4 metres).
Our systems also provide continuous location data, so you can watch someone on a journey, see a breadcrumb trail up to a month long, and receive alerts if they pass a preset geofence boundary.
We offer two tracking devices:
- the dedicated BlueRanger wearable GPS tracking device and
- the downloadable KoolTrax™ software on a suitable mobile phone or PDA
Both use GPS and the mobile network to provide continuous, real-time, accurate location data to your computer where you can monitor the location of one or more Blue Tree tracking devices at once.
They are used by parents and families to monitor children and help organise busy lives, care homes to manage clients who are prone to wandering, and businesses and organisations to monitor and help ensure the safety of remote workers.
BlueRanger is as simple as possible to use, yet provides a panic button, fall alarm, and alerts for no-movement, fast-movement (eg. in a car), and device low battery.
The BlueMap management software, running on either a normal computer or a handheld PDA (which you can purchase from us) shows the location of one or more Blue Tree Services GPS tracking devices on a clear map along with any boundaries set. A client crossing a boundary will cause an alarm to be raised.
The system is designed to provide benefits to everyone. Children or clients (or perhaps a parent with dementia) wearing a BlueRanger gain the confidence that help will be available if they need it, and with the reduced requirement to be constantly watched comes (paradoxically perhaps) more privacy, more freedom to play, learn, and live. Parents or managers get peace of mind and a little of their own time back, and they have the ability to act if something goes wrong .. BlueMap on a PDA allows you to get on the ground and find your target directly.
- Former kids who must now live away from their frail parents can keep watch and see if they need help.
- A parent waiting up to pick up their kids from a party or club can set up a boundary around the club and get an alert when they leave, then snooze until the text-message alarm comes through, and when their kids leave, if they find that the pre-arranged place to be picked up no longer feels safe they can find somewhere that is and, if the parent has a BlueMap PDA, they can meet up anywhere.
- BlueRanger can be used to track the kids going to and from school in the weekdays, then at the weekend used to watch a parent running or cycling or taking some other journey.
- Use our GPS tracking systems to track the car and see if it goes over the speed limit.
Once you have a GPS tracking unit from Blue Tree Services, you'll find all sorts of uses for it.
The service is very configurable. Alerts may be delivered by email and/or as a phone text message, not just to one person but to many, and those people may be different for each alert state.
In business, the health service or other organisations where staff may not wish to be continually monitored, the system can be configured to only provide location data when the panic button is pressed.
Applications include:
- Parents use it as a child tracker or child locator
- Care homes monitor clients, particularly those who wander, such as people with dementia, Alzheimer's, autism or people who sleepwalk
- Security or delivery firms monitor their staff .. BlueRanger is not fitted to the car, it's worn, so it's perfect for cycle couriers, motorbikes, boats, people who work in the community but use their own vehicles, or for companies who use hire vehicles
- People who venture into remote locations, eg. horse riders, cyclists, runners or bird watchers may be monitored to ensure their safety
- People monitor parents with Alzheimer's or other dementia
- Companies monitor remote workers in all sorts of industries: oil and gas, charity, agriculture, forestry
